The role of a Corporate Secretary, although non-existent and thus unfamiliar in Korea, is an invaluable and essential component for any company in Singapore. It is not possible to incorporate and maintain a company in Singapore without a Corporate Secretary.
In compliance with the Companies Act, the role is primarily responsible for advising directors on the suitable flow of formal decision-making process and arranging for meetings in resolution to these decisions.
They also prepare and maintain records relating to these decisions and meetings, ensuring the company complies with all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements.
